Welcome to your stay at 72 Brokesley St, the property managed by The Home Handover. We’re here to make this stay as memorable as possible and the below information will contain everything you need to feel comfortable and unwind whilst you’re in the house.

Entry & Exit Information

Upon arrival, we’ll either meet you at the property, or you’re able to self-check in via the lockbox which is located to the left-hand side of the front door. The code changes frequently and this would have been communicated to you via WhatsApp or the communications engine of the platform you booked with. If there are any issues, please call 0203 432 6858 and we’ll be able to help. There are 3 sets of keys in total, one in the lockbox, 2 on the dining room table. Please keep one set of keys in the lockbox at all times.

When exiting the property for any period of time, please do ensure all windows and external doors are secure. This is to maintain the security of the property and your goods inside it.

Property Overview

We have 5 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and one separate WC, a sociable kitchen-diner, lounge and fantastic garden for you to enjoy.

Check Out

Please return all keys to their original places which are outlined above, lock the front door and return the key to the lockbox. Please ensure all windows and external doors are locked, lights switched off and please pull the blind down in the front room (lounge). We would also appreciate it if you took any food waste outside and into the bins provided at the front of the property.

Our address for the emergency services is 72 Brokesley Street, E3 4QJ.

In the event of a medical emergency, please dial the emergency services on 999. This number can also be called for the police & fire service.
For non-urgent medical issues, please call 111. 

We have an integrated fire alarm system in the building, smoke detectors & carbon monoxide alarms too.

House Rules

  • We want you to have a fun and pleasant stay with us, but please do respect the following which are designed to maintain the integrity of our property, as well as to respect our neighbours:
  •  Quiet hours are between 10pm and 8am
  •  Smoking is not permitted indoors or at the front of the property. 
  •  We allow pets, but these need to be verified by us prior to booking acceptance, we will allow a maximum of two (pet dependent). Please pick up after your pet for any fouling in the garden
  •  Parties are strictly prohibited
  •  No commercial photography or filming allowed
  •  Check-in is after 3 if you’ve booked via a third-party, 1pm if you have booked directly with us. 

Appliances

We have a washing machine, electric hob, electric oven, fridge & freezer, toaster and kettle all found in the kitchen. 
We also have an iron, ironing board & vacuum cleaner which are located on the first and second floors.

TVs

We have one television located in the lounge of the property for you to enjoy, simply sign in to your account on the respective streaming services and you’re all set!

Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning

We are a sustainable business and we champion sustainable practices. The property is equipped with central heating, which you can turn on and off from the boiler and control individual room output via the radiator knobs. We’d ask that you only have the heating on when you need it and do not leave it on when you’re not in the property.  

We encourage you to open up the windows to get a good flow of air through the property. As mentioned in the security section, please just be sure to close and lock these when you’re out.

Waste Management

We have two bins located in the kitchen, as well as bins in all bathrooms. We’d ask for all perishables to be disposed of in the kitchen bin, which has a lid, for better hygiene maintenance. Should the kitchen bin fill up during your stay, please take the bag out to the grey wheelie bin outside and dispose of it, fresh bin bags can be found under the sink.

Housekeeping & Cleaning

If your stay with us is equal to or more than two weeks, a cleaner will be scheduled half way through your stay to refresh the linen (bed & bathroom), hoover, mop, clean the kitchen etc.

We know accidents happen, but we do encourage you to keep the property in good working order and clean up any mess that’s made. You will find cleaning products under the kitchen sink as well as in the under-stairs cupboard.

Transport

Mile End station is a 5 minute walk from the property, this gives you fast and direct access into central London.
