Trust & legal
Your home. Your decisions.
Your protection.
The entire process is built around one idea: the homeowner should never have to rely on trust alone. These are the principles every agreement is designed around.
Principles first. The agreement your solicitor reviews puts each one in writing.
“Who is actually on my side?”
Two clients. Two solicitors. One negotiated agreement.
You and THH have different interests — that is normal, and it is exactly why you are advised independently. Your solicitor answers to you and no one else.
You
Chosen and appointed by you. Reviews everything before you sign anything.
The Home Handover
Represents the company's side of the agreement — never yours.
Independent advice exists precisely because interests differ. That is healthy.
“Will decisions be made without me?”
You retain the approval rights set out in the agreement.
Project decisions are managed within the commercial parameters agreed at the outset. Defined approval points — such as design, planning, accepting an offer and exchange — remain yours. Day-to-day delivery is managed by THH within that framework.

“Will I know what's going on?”
Nothing happens without visibility.
Throughout the project you see the same record THH works from — not a summary prepared for you, the actual record.
“Who is actually doing the work?”
A professional team. Coordinated, not improvised.
THH is not one company doing everything. It coordinates qualified, accountable professionals — each responsible for their own discipline, each answerable for their own work.
Architect
Designs the scheme and works closely with THH throughout the project.
Planning consultant
A trusted planning specialist regularly instructed on THH projects.
Structural engineer
An experienced engineer who supports and certifies the structural works.
Building control
Independent inspectors who review the works at each required stage.
Contractor
A trusted contractor selected from professionals THH has previously worked with successfully.
Estate agent
Experienced selling agents chosen for their ability to achieve the strongest market outcome.
Solicitors
Independent solicitors acting separately for each party throughout the transaction.
The Home Handover
Coordinates an established network of trusted professionals, manages the programme and keeps you informed throughout.
Every professional is selected for their experience and previous performance. THH coordinates the team, but each specialist remains independently responsible for their own work.
“What happens with the money?”
Money moves through professionals. Not promises.
The full payment mechanics are set out in your agreement. The principles are simple, and they don't change.
Payment mechanics in full — including the completion waterfall — are shown on How it works.
Questions homeowners ask
Asked before. Answered plainly.
Yes. The agreement includes defined points at which you can pause or withdraw, with the terms for each stated plainly before you sign. Your solicitor walks you through exactly what applies when.
Yes. Every offer is reported to you and no sale is agreed without your acceptance. THH advises on negotiation; the decision is yours.
THH absorbs the design and planning costs incurred. The scheme is either revised, resubmitted, or the agreement unwinds on the terms stated upfront. You are not left carrying costs.
Your proposal sets out how proceeds are distributed across a range of sale outcomes, including a fall in values. The downside sits with THH — that allocation is written into your agreement.
THH does. Cost overruns during the works are THH’s risk, not yours — that is stated in the agreement your solicitor reviews.
The renovation budget is THH’s to manage and THH’s to fund. An overspend does not change what you were told you would receive.
The programme is reported to you throughout, and delays are explained, not hidden. Holding costs during the project are carried by THH, not by you.
Marketing continues under the agreed strategy, and you see every viewing, every piece of feedback and every offer. Nothing is accepted without you.
Yes. THH coordinates the team so you don’t have to, but nothing about the process is closed to you — site visits and introductions are arranged whenever you want them.
Before you sign, you can walk away at any point at no cost. After signing, the defined exit points in your agreement apply — and your solicitor will have explained each one before you committed.
In summary
Designed so you don't have to trust us.
The Home Handover exists to align everyone's interests — the process itself is the protection.
